STEP 1: Select a Chemical
Our Chemical Data Search tool allows you to quickly find recommended Showa Best Chemical Resistant Gloves based on a specific chemical selection. You
can choose either a Chemical Name or a CAS Number to begin your search.
A Chemical Data Search Results Page will open showing information about the chosen chemical including class, hazard notations, categories and common synonyms that the chemical may be called. Testing keys are available at the top of each page for users needing more information. Expand the synonyms list and keys by clicking the "+" symbols. Choosing a new Chemical Name or CAS Number will reset the search.
STEP 2: Select a Exposure Level
SHOW HEAVY EXPOSURE
This is the default option shown in the sidebar. The highest Breakthrough Time Level available for the selected chemical will be highlighted on the sidebar and Showa Best chemical resistant gloves that match will be displayed as search results in ranked order from highest to lowest breakthrough times. Users may expand their search by clicking other glove levels on the sidebar. Toggle the glove level buttons by clicking them on and off. Levels that are not available for the selected chemical will marked with a crossed out symbol.
SHOW LIMITED EXPOSURE
This optional category can be seen by clicking on the “Show Limited Exposure” sidebar button. The gloves will be displayed in ranked order from the highest to lowest breakthrough times.
STEP 3: Show Physical Hazard Risks
Physical Hazard Risks for both Heavy and Limited Exposure may be shown by clicking on “Show Physical Hazard Risks” sidebar button from within the Heavy or Limited Exposure Sections. A graphic under the Physical Hazard Risks button shows which set of gloves if being displayed. Change what is being displayed with the directions below.
To show Physical Hazards of Heavy Exposure gloves, click on the “Show Heavy Exposure” button to pick that group and then, click on the “Physical Hazard Risks” button.
To show Physical Hazards of Limited Exposure gloves, click on the “Show Limited Exposure button to pick that group and then, click on the “Physical Hazard Risks” button.
